How do i connect a usb camera to a serial port? - google camera adapter
iv tryed Google and eBay and Maplin etc. all have a converter that you can connect a serial device into a USB port to do, but my old laptop only has a USB serial port is not everything. I take my camera, but it is USB, I bought a USB CardBus card, but the type II and, as usual (laptop must be of type StoneAge)
Has anyone a link to a serial / USB, or a better idea, except the burning of the laptop and turn it into modern art

Believe in the search to not really, you can go into serial USB. The main problem we have is that there is no driver to configure the serial port, read the camera will be, even if they can connect.
If it is an old PC probably has a PCMCIA slot Type I (3.3 mm) Type II 5 mm, and all readers of SD cards are Type II. So I went with the possibility of combustion or friend to view images on a CD for you.

I doubt he can do. Put the money spent on this mythical adapter to a new computer.
ADAP USB A-series is the best choice, but no guarantee that it works. The worth a try.
Or buy a laptop with a USB port.
There are a load of USB-serial converter avaialble try the following link to see a list of sites in the UK. PC World, or call and ask again and see to what extent. I would not be much more than € 17 for one! So, if you ask more than that, I say no thanks and buy elsewhere.
